Mi Historia

Mas o menos, así me veía cuándo iba comenzando en el 2002.

Todo empezó en el 2002, cuando tenía 13 años, recién iba conociendo al Internet, y en ese entonces estaba estudiando en la secundaria.

No sabía mucho sobre computación, tampoco tuve la fortuna de asistir a cursos de computación. Me apoyaba en Google, ya que ahí encontraba tutoriales y entrenamientos gratuitos.

Y otra herramienta muy importante para mí fué un diccionario inglés-español para ir traduciendo lo que no entendía, ya que casi todo venía en inglés, y en ese entonces no lo había aprendido.

Mi gusto hacia el Marketing Digital comenzó con el Diseño Web cuando descubrí un programa llamado Microsoft Frontpage 2002. Y ahí me la pasaba horas y horas, descubriendo el programa, aprendiendo y viendo que necesitaba para poder hacer mi primer sitio web.

Cada vez que tenía oportunidad, exploraba el programa. Leía tutoriales y realizaba mis primeras pruebas.

Quería estar frente a la computadora todo el día aprendiendo.

Yo a mis 18 años, haciendo páginas web.

Y llegó el día en que publiqué mi primer sitio web, fué uno para la secundaria dónde estaba estudiando. Podríamos decir que fué mi primer logro, yo estaba muy alegre y contento. El sitio web era muy sencillo, pero siendo el primero y para el 2002 con sólo 13 años, no estaba nada mal. Mis compañeros de clase me ayudaban sacando fotos en los recesos, y opinábamos sobre que cosas agregar, quitar, y mejorar.

Fué difícil aprender ya que lo hice a solas, pero se pudo lograr. Con el tiempo aprendí a programar en HTML y CSS.

Pasaron los años, seguí aprendiendo y sentía que ya era el momento de tener clientes.

Y más porque en Marzo del 2009, a los 20 años decidí independizarme de casa de mis padres por voluntad propia, tenía que pagar los servicios, y mantenerme.

No pensaba rendirme.

¿Lo lograré? Al menos, ¡Intentémoslo!

Lo que hice entonces fué comenzar a promocionar mis servicios de diseño web en el periódico de mi ciudad, para ver si conseguía mi primer cliente.

Y en Abril del mismo año lo logré. Estaba muy emocionado, no podía creerlo, si iba poder sobrevivir por mi cuenta 😄 fué una gran alegria y al mismo tiempo, un impulso para seguir adelante en éste proyecto inicial.

Mi primer trabajo fue el diseñar un sitio web para una gasolinera y un restaurante local. Y de ahí comencé a conseguir más clientes conforme el paso del tiempo.

Pasaron los años, continué aprendiendo otras habilidades muy interesantes como SEO, embudos de ventas, diseño web responsivo, procesar pagos online, páginas de aterrizaje, soporte técnico hasta inclusive grabar y editar videos.

It all began in 2002 when I was 13 years old and was just getting to know the Internet. At that time, I was studying in high school.

I didn’t know much about IT, and I didn’t have the opportunity to attend a course.

I relied on Google as I could find tutorials and free training on websites I found.

I looked like this at that time.

My passion for Digital Marketing began with Web Design when I discovered a software: Microsoft Frontpage 2002.

I would spend hours and hours exploring it, learning, and figuring out how to use it to create my first website.

Whenever I had the opportunity, I explored in detail into the software. I read tutorials and made my first tests.

I wanted to be in front of the computer all day, learning and practicing.

That’s me when I was 18, doing my first website.

It was time to launch my first website. I made it to the high school where I was studying.

I considered it my first achievement and was very happy and proud. The website was very simple. It wasn’t the best or most professional because it was the first at only 13 years old.

My classmates helped me by taking photos during breaks that we uploaded at that time, and we would discuss what things to add, remove, and improve.

It has lost images, Flash animations, and it’s in Spanish. Ups!

It was challenging to learn since I did it myself. I managed to do it. Over time, I learned to code in HTML and CSS.

Years passed, and I kept learning, feeling it was time to have clients.

In March 2009, at 20, I moved out of my parent’s house and started to rent my first house, which was small and with basic stuff only, but I needed to do it.

I had to pay for expenses and support myself. I wasn’t planning on giving up.

Will I succeed? Let’s give it a try, at least!

I started promoting my web design services in the local newspaper to get my first client.

And one month later, I got it. I was excited and couldn’t believe it.

This was a great joy and a boost to continue with this initial project.

My first job was designing a local gas station and restaurant website. From there, I started getting more clients.
